As dental professionals, we face challenges to assess, maintain and recommend home-care for dental implant patients. This course will reveal answers to the challenges of providing safe, effective implant maintenance, and peri-implantitis treatment. End the confusion with a comprehensive system for ceramic and titanium implant assessment, instrumentation, monitoring, and home-care recommendations. This is based on Susan’s textbook; Peri-Implant Therapy for the Dental Hygienist: Clinical Guide to Maintenance and Disease Complications.
Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
• Understand the current research on ceramic and titanium implant protocols, tools and treatments for peri-implant therapy.
• Provide safe implant assessment, maintenance and home-care recommendations for all forms of dental implants and implant-borne restorations/prostheses.
• Understand peri-implantitis and its prevention and treatments.
